    Health issues unfortunately don't leave us alone at the weekend and people are often in need of medical assistance out of hours. Using NHS guidelines, we have provided some advice and information on where you can go for help when your GP is closed.

    We received a complaint regarding Ward 12 at The James Cook University Hospital which had been routed via the Department of Health, CQC and Healthwatch England.

    The STAR pilot extends evening and weekend opening times for patients from 6.30pm to 9.30pm Monday to Friday and 8am to 8pm on weekends and bank holidays to ensure patients get the right care, first time through a single point of access.
