Our Work 2025-2026
Reaching out
We focus on engaging with people who face the biggest barriers to accessing health and care — including those affected by poverty, trauma, disability, homelessness, digital exclusion and mental health challenges. By meeting people in safe, familiar community settings, we hear honest experiences that often go unheard.
Information & Signposting
Our Information & Signposting service is a core part of our statutory Healthwatch role, helping people understand their choices and navigate local health and social care. We support anyone who needs information about services, including how to register with a GP, find the right type of health or social care support, or understand what options are available to them.
Our Impact
Spotlight
The Spotlight Award is an opportunity to acknowledge individuals, teams, or organisations across South Tees who have made a significant and positive impact within health, social care, or the wider community.
Together Connect
Our Together Connect network works smarter, connect services, and create better outcomes for local people.
NENC Healthwatch Network
North East and North Cumbria (NENC) Building a Strong Healthwatch Network
We formed a network of 14 local Healthwatch groups to improve health and care services both regionally and nationally. Funding from our Integrated Care Board helped us build strong, meaningful relationships within this network, consistently adding value to the design of health and care services.
Redcar and Cleveland Additional Work
We were commissioned to carry out additional engagement with people who have lived experience of Adult Social Care, including unpaid carers and members of the wider community in Redcar and Cleveland.
