Our work priorities

Our original plan for 2025/26 was to deliver one large project across both Middlesbrough and Redcar & Cleveland, focused on developing a mental health resource to help people understand and navigate what is often a confusing local mental health landscape.

Hospital discharge was identified as a key quality priority for the Trust in 2025/2026. In response, we were invited to lead a collaborative engagement initiative focused on improving discharge processes and patient outcomes.

As part of our 2025/2026 priorities, we carried out a series of engagement activities between April and June 2025 with 11 care homes across South Tees.

In 2025 we held Health and Wellbeing Events across four key locations: Thorntree, Redcar, Hemlington, and Grangetown.

On 30 April, Healthwatch South Tees, in partnership with Middlesbrough Voluntary Development Agency (MVDA), brought together a wide range of organisations for a collaborative event focused on strengthening community connections and improving how we work together across South Tees.
