Digital Support Conversations
People shared mixed views on digital health. Some found online systems hard to use and missed being able to phone for appointments, while others valued text reminders and email contact with GPs. Concerns were raised about privacy when checking in digitally at hospital. Information on the NHS app and Pharmacy First were shared.
Experiences of Health Care
Experiences of care were mixed: some praised excellent treatment at James Cook University Hospital, while others reported long waits and lack of follow‑up, particularly in respiratory care.
Feedback on GP Services
GP access varied, with long phone queues discouraging some people from seeking help. Information about local digital and carer support services was shared, and residents expressed interest in future Healthwatch involvement.
