Community Engagement at Marske Library
During the session, we spoke with 13 women, creating a safe and supportive space to explore the barriers they face when navigating healthcare.
The discussions highlighted a range of personal experiences, including the challenges faced by unpaid carers and the complexities of accessing services as an adult living with an ADHD diagnosis.
As part of the session, we were able to share information about new roles within GP practices, including the role of the Care Navigator, who can help patients access the right support more efficiently. We also discussed the benefits of e-consults and explained how patients can use the GP Extended Access Service to obtain appointments outside of standard practice hours.
Engagements like this are essential for understanding community needs and helping to improve access to healthcare services for everyone.
