Digital Support Conversations

Our conversations focused on digital issues, some ladies had issues with connectivity or using online services.  Information was shared about Age UK’s Digital Support Project

Experiences of Health Care

One lady shared concerns about an ongoing problem with podiatry. She explained that the issue had already had a long‑lasting impact and that previous attempts to raise the problem had not led to a solution.

She was advised about using the formal NHS complaints process and also provided information on the free NHS Independent Complaints Advocacy from People First.

Feedback on GP Services

Conversations about local GP surgeries generated a significant amount of positive feedback.

  • Dr Morgan at Hillside Surgery was described as “absolutely lovely” and very attentive.
  • Brotton Surgery was also spoken about positively.
  • Several people commented on improvements to the appointment system at Saltburn Practice. One lady shared that by calling at 8am and requesting a call‑back, she had received a same‑day appointment on each of the last three occasions.

Adult Social Care and Other Services

There was limited discussion around adult social care, although one person highlighted receiving excellent rehabilitation support at Meadowgate Care Home.
