Improving Adult Social Care Through Community Feedback

For the last year we have been working with Redcar and Cleveland’ Borough Council’s Adult Social Care department to improve their service. We’re pleased to share some improvements in our ongoing efforts to enhance this service. These improvements are driven by the valuable feedback we’ve received from the community.

Listening to Local Voices

As part of our commitment to continuous improvement, we engaged directly with individuals to gather their thoughts on adult social care customer satisfaction surveys. Their insights highlighted key areas for improvement, and action has been taken. Where possible, they revised the survey to better reflect the needs and experiences of those who use this service—ensuring a more responsive and effective approach to gathering feedback.

Clearer, More Person-Centred Communication

In response to our recommendations, standard adult social care letters have been updated to incorporate feedback from local residents. These changes aim to make communications clearer, more accessible, and better aligned with people’s needs.

Making Local Services Easier to Navigate

We’re also excited to share that mapping information gathered through our work will be included in the upcoming edition of the Redcar and Cleveland What's Going On information guide. This will help residents more easily find and access local resources and services, supporting greater independence and community connection.
