Adebomi Jane Adeogo - Co-founder Connect360

Why I decided to become a Community Champion:
Many of our participants face systemic inequalities and cultural stigma around healthcare – being a Champion would provide an excellent opportunity to elevate these voices and help drive change in how services are delivered locally.
My lived experience as a migrant woman in the UK has shown me how isolating and difficult it can be to access the right support. I want to make sure no one feels invisible. Through Connect360 and my full time job as a Navigator at Waythrough, I work daily with individuals who have complex needs but are often excluded from mainstream services. I believe becoming a Community Champion will amplify these stories and improve service equity.
How my role helps people in South Tees:
Connect360 provides employability support, emotional well-being, financial advice, immigration guidance, and access to training for legal migrants with NRPF. We host monthly events, facilitate community referrals, and collaborate with organisations such as Waythrough, Thirteen Group, the British Red Cross etc. My role involves direct support, advocacy, and ensuring people are linked to relevant health and social care services – making me well-placed to feed into Healthwatch’s intelligence-gathering and outreach work.
