Doctors have a professional duty to ‘listen to patients, take account of their views, and respond honestly to their questions’.

The General Medical Council would like to get your thoughts on proposed changes to how doctors collect and reflect on patient feedback.

The aim of this consultation is to make it easier for you to give your doctor feedback, so that they can understand what they’re doing well and how they can improve.

This is part of a process called revalidation, which is how doctors keep their licence to work in the UK.
